Traveling to Cambodia Cambodia is a popular tourist destination. It is a safe country to visit, the culture is ancient and beautiful, the food is delicious, and the Cambodian people are warm and welcoming. Over 10,000 people a day visit the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. This fascinating complex of carved stone temples dating back to 800 AD to 1200 AD is fun to explore. Many tourists also visit the capital city of Phnom Penh, along the banks of the Mekong River, with museums and French colonial charm. If you have more time, you can visit the coast or remote provinces. Contact us for itinerary recommendations. We suggest you visit projects that help disadvantaged people, including several top of the line restaurants that are training centers for former street children, beautiful craft shops that support landmine survivors, rejuvenating massage that employs the blind, and a Cambodian dance and shadow puppet performance by orphans. Friendship with Cambodia can make arrangements for you to visit our humanitarian projects and meet local people. When you return, please consider making a donation to Friendship with Cambodia, to help poor and disadvantaged people in Cambodia. Have a great trip! |
