Half the girls and a quarter of the boys never get a chance to go to school and most of the children who start school drop out between third and sixth grades. They need to help their parents work in order for their family to get enough food to eat each day. Often the secondary school is far away, so the children have to live in another city and pay for room and board. For $360 you can support a child in school for a year. The funds will provide a school uniform, school supplies and fees, and a bicycle to ride to school. It also supplements the family's income so the child doesn't have to work.

Please note that while we do our best to keep the website up to date, if you are are intested in a particular student, that child may already have been assigned a sponsor. So we may ask you to choose another student.
